Proud

I just got back from a triple birthday celebration at a friend's house in Penang. Mad awesome party! But that is not why i'm blogging today.

No my friends, today, i am blogging, because.

I got complimented about my blog today :) That and the fact that i found out my batchmates actually read my blog. I never knew anyone from my class would actually read my blog, let alone stumble onto it. The known readers from my class amounts to 3 people. Out of the 130 students in my class, only 3 people reads me. That's a pathetic 2.3%.

But i guess i should do a new statistic :)

-----

Anyways yes, because of that, dengan bersemangatnya, i shall write a post today.

So lets travel a couple of decades weeks ago, when i was still on my sem break.

I went out with Kaysim to Pyramid for lunch. Initially we wanted to catch a movie together. But i can't remember why we canceled it later =.=

Plain turqoise tee: Forever 21
Faded green shorts: Scarlet
Tiered brass necklace: Stockist
Brown ribbed shoulder bag: Steffano
Black holey shoes: Tesco

We went to Snowflakes which is located in Asian Avenue. We both wanted to try something new cause we were damn sick of going to the same old food joints (sakae sushi was one in particular). I would say its just alright. Quite bland really. So i won't recommend coming here.

Note the side parting of my hair! I switched my parting to the other side and unfortunately for me, it looks so crappy!!!! My fringe looks as flat as an ironing board! argh!

Snowflakes

PS: I DROVE. yeah~~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a separate occasion, me and my mum thought it would be nice for us girls to go for an all girl shopping spree! We dined like a king and gossiped like all women do!

I insisted on driving :) And reluctantly my mum agreed cause she feels that i'm that lousy of a driver when in reality, i think i drive quite alright.

We headed over to IOI mall which is actually much near to my house compared to Pyramid. Eh i didn't know that had an extension so i was quite surprised when i saw a movie theater there! Thank god for modernization!

Anyways, first thing on my list was food cause i was dead hungry! So BBQ Plaza it is!

It was my first time dining there and i'm glad to say, unlike Snowflakes, this place is actually pretty good! Nice ambiance and the food was delicious (at least to me it was)!

The good thing about this place is that you can BBQ and do steamboatin at the same time! Yah i know that you can find this kind of restaurants spread all over Malaysia but this place is different! The place is CLEANNNNNN and its not crazily jam packed with human beings PLUS its AIR CONDITIONED!

Say hello to aunty Agnes y'all!

After nomming till i bellies can stretch no more, we went shopping like duh! I bought my Court shoes from Larries and so did my mum. So it was a happy day for both of us :)

Oh ya, we accidentally left our Jusco buns at the kuih bahulu store! By the time we remembered bout the buns, it was half past midnight :( FOL la. But what to do, what is done, is done :(

Studio + Jon's HOT friend

During my short sem break a few weeks ago, Jon invited me to listen to the remastered version of his band's track in the studio. He picked me from my house and we were off to Lim Kok Wing Cyberjaya :)

His campus was nice. So artsy fartsy with murals aplenty and loads of abstract statues, like The Big Silver Ball.

Apparently, Lim Kok Wing has many homegrown brands, like their infamous coffee shop which name i cannot remember. And not to mention the music CDs that are sold in record shops across Malaysia. So kudos to those who made it happen!

The Walk of Fame. Nuff said.

Told ya the place was full or artistic murals. This hall is apparently the sound hall or something like that. Music or sounds which are played here will be heard with a much better quality or something of the sorts. I don't know. Not my field of expertise =.="

I dunno what is the thing behind me also. Probably some art piece someone did and had no place to store it.

Geometric silk dress: Nichii
Pale pink cardigan: Cotton On
Studded Grey bag: Supplier
Holey-moley flats: Giant

This poster was suppose to memupuk semangat perpaduan. But according to Jon, all those people are just acting for the cameras only. They hardly talk to each other in real life. hmm..

After listening to the song in the studio, we went to the nearby Old Town to have a late lunch with a few of Jon's uni friends.

(Jon your friend Robin is very very hot but please don't tell him what i said cause i still want to be able to look him in the face next time i see him T__T. But seriously he is damn cute max. Half Dutch and half Malaysian rite?)

After about an hour or two, me and Jon headed to Jon's hostel for him to pick up a few stuffs. and to facebook. Major T_____T

The initial plan was to drop by for 5 mins, but we ended up leaving after 20 mins =.=

Anyways, it was a good day! Saw lots of new things, and met knew people. Wish my life was more adventurous as this on a daily basis.

cheers! :)

Revival

This picture makes me look so POSH and REGAL huh. What with the pearl bracelets, and 'CHANEL' bag. Hah! Bag costs me only RM12 and the pearls costs like maybe. uhh. 1 cent per pearl (maybe lesser. i dunno. my maths sucks. did i tell you that Maths was the only subject i got B+ for my Foundation results? Major T_____T). I scored it for RM2 for the whole 5 sets.

Yah sue me. I don't think i have enough camwhore pics. Really i dont! (don't stare at me wtf.)

I think this was taken when i was back in KL for my *aherm self proclaimed friday holiday*

-----

Anyways, im back in SP again, and drowning in studies. BUT! I shall attempt to revive my blog (peer pressure la since jon started writing in his blog again. haihz.)

So, mmmm... where do i start. Oh! CS trip with friends! Quite a momentous occasion cause it was the first time we took.. err. watchacallit. Sticker pictures? Yah! The one with the background changing + add cute props + 10x fairer skin tone pictures! YAHHH YOU GOT IT RIGHT.

BUT before that, letme show you some magic =D

LOOK AT THE PICTURE BELOW:

NOW LOOK AGAIN:

TADA!!! XD So chio larh~! Wan Teng made this! Really. Wow. Must learn this technique one day!

Me and Wan Teng reanecting scenes from OH! ~ SNSD.

I think i was going out to pee, for the 5th time that day. Eh i got small bladder ok =.= Don't hate the bladder, hate the drink =.= Yah ok i know, super lame.

For those who haven't figured it out yet, we were eating in Pizza Hut.

Wan Teng is like my camwhore buddy here. I found Karmern #2! =)

Oh before i forget, must intro you to this quaint little Japanese stall which sells your run of the mill sushis, takoyaki, and TEMAKIs! Omg, FYL if you have never tried it before. Their Temakis are to DIE FOR. I dunno whats the name of the store, its in Japanese, but the lantern is all the landmark you need. Its so big and red, and have some Japanese words written on it, you cant miss it wan la! In case you did, its opposite The Store, CS. Make sure you pop by k!

Anyways, without further adue, feast your eyes on:

hahaha. We call ourselves, the PRINCESSES OF MBBS BATCH 14. Dont play play r. We got some support from the male species ok!

Happy with the purchased stickers. Eh quite cheap you know. I think we spent about RM6 per person, and we got like numero-uno pictures! Compared to KL, totally worth buying from here lorh. So which of my good friends would like to travel all the way up to take a few pictures with me? :D

-----

Hmmmm... Ok, ALL YOU CAN EAT STEAMBOAT/BBQ next!

Went to Eternal Zone just the other day with a couple of friends. Bloated till i felt a belly :( That would take a few hours of running to get it down. Le sigh.

Bitch, Hema, and Me :)

I look quite nice in this candid picture, thats why im putting it up :P

I took this picture. Super nice B&W effect huh. Ok i know i quite noob in photo setting cum anything photo related modifications, but i think this one came out quite nice :)

Mine and Eu-Shen's plates (we knocked over 2 plates but we pretended that we didnt hear anything and continued (sreamboating/bbq-ing). Omg we are so evil but we too lazy to walk over to the other side to pick up. T___T Ok. I deserve a slap for that. Sorry T__T

-----

One more event before i end my post. AIMST Inaggural Hosteller Dinner 2010.

Quite interesting really. The Hosteller comittee (i swear to god i din't know we had such a comittee before this) were really resourceful as they managed to get the almost the whole event sponsored. Really gotta applause them for this. I think it was a good effort and it was somewhat a delightful night for me and my friends. So bravo!

They even had Hostel Prince and Princess (haha. ok this part i admit was abit funny. no offense. you nominees are great! but Hostel PRINCE and PRINCESS????? Maybe im just weird, or. ya ok im just weird, but i would never associate hostels with princes and princesses. Don't they stay in castles, or at the very least, MANSIONS?? Certainly not school hostels.) But congratulations anyways :)

So ok. I'll end this post with 2 pictures with Angeline and Lisa!

Btw, thank you Lisa, Alex and Angel for your support :)

Sem 2 Year 2

To keep you entertained while i go drown myself in the toilet bowl of B2N.

Rather die a quick (tho slightly painful) death than to suffocate amongst the pages of Guyton's Medical Physiology textbook.

CNS is. so. friggin. HARD.

I've been so busy (when have i ever been not busy) this past 2 weeks - i started this sem 2 weeks ago, so yeah. you can see the amount of workload i have.

Day 1 of the new sem contributed 3 lecture notes already. The second day was no different. And the day after that. And the day after that.

As if the amount of notes to read is not enough to cause mental stroke, i took it upon myself to be more contributing towards... err... people in need of help?

And so far, within a span of two weeks, i have:

1) Learned how to cook herbal eggs using those authentic traditional chinese herbs
2) Joined a food sale
3) Became an umpire for the first ever Badminton Association Friendly Match
4) Took part in a korean pop dance (SNSD - OH!) for Prom
5) Will be performing Watch Say with another group of friends for Prom
6) and some other craps which i will blog about. err. soon.

ttyl =)

The Year of the Tiger *ROAR*

GONG XI FAT CAI!

What CNY would it be without a visit back to your hometown?
*FYI im a Sarawakian :)*

Met someone familiar in (of all places) LCCT! Ying wai, don't forget our London deal! :)

Plane rides on Airasia is seriously T______T FMLx2. Super small seats with super un-lengzai air stewards. Mehhhh... I can't imagine taking Airasia to Australia. Or anywhere for that matter.

Wearing a spaghetti babydoll top and super short brown pants. I was the only one in the whole plane dressed as if im going on a vacation to Hawaii or something. So beachy (pun not intended) and daring rite?

Anyways, we reached Sibu in one piece. I think it was about 10pm when we touched down. U and Nye-Gung were already waiting at the arrival hall, ready to stuff our big and plentiful luggages into the Myvi and Saga. Yes. They brought 2 cars just to fit our luggages in. KL people don't pack light =D

So bla bla bla, did some catching up with the aunties and the uncles, had KFC for supper and it was off to bed.

-----------------

Chu yi was spent in Sibu. Went around visiting more aunties and uncles. And we made a pit stop at Medan Mall. Its pirated DVDs heaven! Cheap shit i crap you not! I bought like, er, possibly, roughly, 30 DVDS? hah! I don't know how i managed to smuggle all of it back to KL in the end.

We visited my dad's elder sister (in fu chow, we call her Gugu). And dayum. Her CNY cookies are to die for! And that ikan bilis honey coated watchamacallit snack was soooo good i practically ate the whole tin T___T

Thats when she told us we could have the recipe so we can go home and DIY ourselves. haha.

From the pages of the Sifu.

-------------

Apparently, there is this river called Sungai Merah in Sibu, and guess what. The water in the river is seriously Red. My dad told me that it has been red ever since, forever, and little kids like playing there last time. So i asked my dad, "Why is it red?", cause you know, as a science field student, there has to be a reason for the water's redness rite? My dad was dumb-founded by the question. His only response was "hmm. I never thought of that before". And i answered, "so, you could have been playing in some over polluted river for the past 50 years huh. So much for always telling us 'safety first'" LOL!

Now lots of houses was built on either sides of the river banks cause apparently its very 'ONG'.

Nice cloud reflection.

---------------------

Chu Er, was spent in Sarikei. Woke up so blardy early (7am is considered very early in my books ok!) and drove down to Sarikei.

Again, more uncle and aunty visits.

AWWsocutemakesmewanttohaveababyofmyown~!

---------------------

For those of you who thought Sarawak is all about this:

and wooden house like this:

Let me tell you what a serious misconception you have. We has big brick houses too!

This is my mum's cousin house. So big rite? Nicely furnished as well. Envious.

Will continue the story in my next post :)

Pampered Kids

What the fuck is the world coming to???

Kids are getting too pampered!

Tear Glands Stimulated

You know how sometimes, when you watch a really touching advert, or when watching some documentary about starving african childrens, the 9/11 incident, or perhaps Titanic?, somehow the emotional receptors get stimulated and you just can't help but weep in silence and start thinking about. well. alot of things.

It hits you. Just like that. No warning. No signs. Just. BAM! The tears start rolling.

Sometimes, its the simplest things that will touch us.

I just finished watching the MV of Nickelback's Never Gonna Be Alone.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GWQ-oDMG6g

I wept like i've never did before in my life during the last minute of the clip. The message was simple. But it got me to think about so many things. About how life is very short and unexpected. Of how God can just take the life of anyone nearest and dearest to you. I dont know how to explain myself further. Maybe my hormones are all wrecked up because of the exams.

Anyways, i hope you'll find the song as inspiring as it did for me. Im gonna spend alot of time with my family this holiday.

I even have a pet project i want to do with my family.
Code name: Family Potrait :) can't wait to get started.

Anyways, cheers mate! One more exam tomoro and im done!

*edit*
Shit. Watched it for the second time and i still teared up at the end!
