Christmas Holiday 2009 [Part 2]

Gah.. Too many pictures till i don't know where to start!

First things first,

I finally gotten my P license! Shocking isn't it that i waited this long to actually complete the driving course =S Now i'm itching for my own car.

I drove my whole family to Taipan. Don't play play ok!

They went down to buy some buns from the local bakery. But i refuse to come out of the car! How often do i get the chance to sit in the driver's seat and smirk at those teenage girls/boys walking past me who don't have a license yet!? hah! I have a license! *revs car* Hiak hiak.

My mum knew i was craving for cake from Berry's. She bought me this really huge slice of Chocolate cake. But i didn't want chocolate cake! I wanted FRUIT CAKE!

You know, i used to lurve chocolate cakes. I didn't realize that over the years, my taste have changed so much! I now despise anything chocolat-ey. I even hate Forrerho (is that how you spell it?) Roche! When choosing cakes, even if there are no Fruit cakes, i will opt for anything but chocolate ones! Oh, i hate tiramisu cakes as well. I hate coffee! Thats a known fact. Hmm. Oh. And by fruit cakes, i mean those cakes with real fruits garnished on top, with cream and all. Yum!

But i ate the cake anyway. I was hungry T__T

-----------------

Went out for yumcha session with Usj 13-ians in SS2. Till today i don't know the reason why SS2, why so far out from Subang, but hey what the heck. I wasn't the one driving. Thank you Huey Ching, and thank you Vee!

Time really does change a person physically. We all have aged so gracefully (wtf sounds so old). But really, everyone looks more wiser and more adult-like you know. Most of them drove there by themselves. Which is pretty cool when compared to our younger times when we used to call each other up to plan a carpool if ever we go out. But then again, we always had hema, the driver, who also drove us around Indo. Old habits die hard. Wonder if when we're 50, you'll still be driving me around? Hmmm.

Rumors had it that Noel has been using SK2 skin whitening cream. Is it true? har har.

Huey Ching then told us that Ying Wai managed to get us on 'THE LIST" for the opening party of Opera, which is a new club in Sunway. So she asked us to go check the place out. Since we're on the list and all. So i agreed. Because Vee agreed. And because Vee was my ride home.

Speaking of which, this is the first ever time i have been on "THE LIST" for something like this. Its kinda cool. Its like those scenes from the movie when this totally hot chick was like walking pass this insanely long line outside the club's entrance, gracefully approaching the bouncers at the door, muttering a silent 'Christine', and having the person with the guest list look up at me with a wide smile saying "Welcome". =D

But that of course was not what happened.

But first, we had to survive PJ's crazy traffic. And Vee got lost. Admidst the "yea i know where we are. Don't worry. This place looks familiar", we got lost.

But thank goodness we found our way out later.

Made a quick pit-stop to Fullhouse, Pyramid to visit our ever pleasant, ever short (joking joking. *coughs), ever adorable, Jonathan. *cough*when you gonna show me your new girl*cough* =D

Jon's friend acting sneaky behind. Good one! Haha!

Vee looked totally pompous in the first picture so i made him hold a toy deer.

Vee who is quite tall.

Jon, who is err. My height :D But thumbs up anyway! haha.

Anyways, me and Vee ended up just standing outside the club, staring through the glass windows into the bar area of the 4 stories club.

Its not that we can't get in. Heck. Our names were on "THE LIST". But rather it was the fact that i suddenly got this wave of self awareness and intimidation. The girls there were wearing miniskirts, mini tops, MINI-EVERYTHING! Equipped with hooker style make up and push up bras!

I was really scared okay. The people there have those 'garang' looks in their eyes. As if they wanted to slash us up and run away with all our money.

But it was mainly because of the dressing la i guess. I don't fit into the crowd. I stand out too much. And its not because of good reasons. I had like long slacks and this floral top which is totally un-clubber like. Zero makeup. I just came back from mamak. What do you expect =.=

So we left. And headed to Old Town to yumcha with Dic-Syen and Noel who just finished their DotA games. Blek.

--------------------

Lunch in Sakae Sushi with sister. Erm. She was constantly messaging this somebody and didn't really layan me. Pfft. How often does she see her big sis??? Like maybe 5 times in one year and this is how she treats me.

But okla. Got down little details of her life like studies. And bitches from her school (bitches who like punching each others boobs out of sheer fun. They find it funny. I find it very very disturbing). Small talks here and there.

And she introduced me to this new dish in Sakae Sushi which was superbly delish! Its also a name too complicated that i can't be bothered to remember. So i shall name it, Fried Veges with BBQ sauce? Its not really fried veges. And its not exactly BBQ sauce. But its green, and there's some black sauce on top of it, so go figure.

Acting silly.

--------------------------

Had lunch with my dad's super old best friend whom he met while still studying in Sarikei. He now lives in Indonesia. Go figure. But apparently, he is really rich and owns a palm oil estate. And we all know that palm-oilers earn big money.

His wife actually took a picture of me and told my mum that she plans to match make me with her son, who is around my age =.= What?

I like the food. Tastes. Chinese.

------------------------

Aimst internet line sucks! Its so slowwww! You would think after all the "maintenance" they were doing for a month plus, the connection would be slightly faster. But no! Its slower than before. It took me at least 20 minutes to upload 2 freakin pictures on Blogger and 15 minutes to upload 1 picture in Facebook.

So now you know why i've not been updating regularly.

I hope the line gets better. STAT.

Goodnight everybody! =)

Christmas Holiday 2009 [Part 1]

Hello humans!

Did i wish all of you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year yet?

I DIDNT?

Whoops.

I know i know. Ive been *cough*neglecting*cough* this blog for quite some time now. Not that im planning to stop. I actually do like writing crap in this donkey space of mine *cough*

Anyhoos, its been a week since i came back from Kl.

I don't want to start ranting about the little things that happened here and there in Aimst before i rant about the things that happened back home.

I went to soooo many places during my 2 weeks break (Indonesia would be the most obvious cause i ter-blab-ed this to err. everyone? But i'll leave the Indonesia adventures for another post -Must be systematic. MUST!)

Sooooo okay.

ERRRMMM. Hmmm. I kinda forgot what happened during the first few days of the holidays (ahh. this is what happen when you don't blog on a regular basis). But i remember it involves food, food, and foodfoodfood. I've been stuffing myself silly that 2 weeks. Imma bigmotherglutton. But again. Thats another story.

Instead of my glutton adventures, I would like to tell you about my pleasant trip to REDBOX! *cue Christmas music!*

MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

REDBOXXXXXX!

Just to let you know, pulling a:

a) Noel means screaming like some transvestite junkie. harhar.

b) Shing Vee means pretending to not know how to sing at the beginning, but somehow managed to sing the entire 9/10 of the song shortly later.

c) Kaysim means being totally gay and emo. lolololol.

The rest of us are pretty normal. heh.

---

The decorations in Sunway Pyramid were quite pretty this time. Being light deprived and all (Aimst decided to cut cost by not switching on the lamps at the girl's hostel walkway), I was really fascinated by the blinking yellow lights that were beautifully draped around trees.

L-R (Nerd, Mega Nerd, Me, Short Nerd) =)

*END*

*EDIT*
I shall not leave my post so abruptly next time cause *cough*potatohead*cough* said it doesn't look professional.

So, instead of *END*, im gonna leave you all with a "Hohoho. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!'

A Night of Remembrance

Omg false lashies are now my best best friends!

*make up is thanks to Sammie!*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY LOOK FOR THE NIGHT!

It spells glam, but not drag queen diva. Not too over. But not normal.
Powder foundation, shimmy shimmy gold eyeshadow, rose pink blusher to highlight my cheekbones, light pink lip gloss, liner! AND NOT FORGETTING, FALSE EYELASHES! :D

Tonight (actually 2 nights ago), was the night i debut my Waltz skills on stage!

It was a performance staged by MBBS Batch 14 students in support of the Padang Earthquake Charity Concert held in Aimst University.

Im so proud of my batch! Albeit having exams in another 5 days, 51 out of 130 students from MBBS Batch 14 joined together to contribute a part in this ever purposeful event!

For one whole week, we poured tears and sweat, time and strength, to practice our dance routine over and over again. Tiring, but fun! If it wasn't for this event, many bonds would not have formed, and i would have never known that I CAN WALTZ! :D

Our said performance is a fusion of 6 dances.

*according to sequence*
1) Mamma Mia - Abba
2) Waltz - FF7
3) Larger Than Life - Backstreetboys
4) Pop Duet
5) Thriller - Micheal Jackson
6) High School Musical "We're All In This Together"

I took part in 2 dance. Waltz and High School Musical!

It was mad fun i tell you. MAD FUN.

I still remember everyone complaining (and regretting to the core) in the middle of practice sessions. Who wouldn't? Exams are in a few days time! And its quite an important paper at that. You can't fail this paper. Failing it will means no sitting for Finals!

But after the whole concert, when the curtains fall, and when the audience gave their roaring applause, i look at my fellow dancers, and i see only happiness and joy in their eyes and smile. There's no doubt that IF EVER another opportunity like this arises, the same people will be the first ones volunteering.

Actually, i stumbled into the dance by chance. When thean sim announced our batch's participation in the event, i vowed never to enter because its too close to exams and im too lazy. The plan worked well for me a couple of days, where i sworn off all humans who started their sentence with a "come join the dance! We need more people!".

No one could shake me.

But i don't know what crossed my mind that one fateful day when Chan Zi Yin rang me. It was as if my mind blanked off for a moment, and i heard myself saying "Ok". My mind was shouting "STUPID STUPID CHRISTINE, YOU'RE GOING TO FAIL IN YOUR EXAMS! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOURSELF??", but my mouth had a mind of its own.

Dahlah it was one crazy hot afternoon, i had to drag my lazy bum to the Orientation hall.

Can guess who is my partner for the night? (scroll down the pics below and take your best guess)

For costumes, the girls all have to wear fancy gowns, whilst the men had to wear a white shirt with vest and tie.

ZOMG all the guys look hot! And it was only then i found out that 90% of the men in Waltz actually work out!

My partner apparently had 6 packs with a pari of very well defined biceps :D

Meet Cheng Foong. I told him for almost a year since the CNY dinner in Piao Xiang circa early Jan 2009; to practise his smiling skills in front of the camera. Hows the result?

This man is Chan. He was the one who managed to convince me to go.

Heres a picture of all the Walt dancers! pheeweeet!

All so handsome and pretty rite?

Now for some pictures of the Waltz couples!:

Hui Yuan and her partner Nicholas at the after party.

Cheng Foong and Winnie Wong Siaw Ting!

And last but not least, *dum derum dum dum*

Me and Kok Jin :)

Thanks for everthing. You are a wonderful partner to have :)

*sorry no pic of us dancing on stage cause we're actually not allowed to take pictures during the concert*

Distasteful

I've pretty much engulfed my whole week thinking about so many things. Questions. Doubts.

No really. As emo and depressing as this sound, have you ever questioned yourself? Whether the path you have chosen is the path you want to continue on?

I once thought i was abso-positively sure that this IS THE RIGHT PATH. But now, i feel like i'm just going around in circles. And squares. And triangles. And trapezoids.

I've been reading a few blogs written by students from Aimst. Seems that i'm not the only one feeling pathetic and down.

There is this one thing that is bothering me like superduperalot till shitting that time also I will think about it.

SOCIAL DOMINANCE.

Though many people (parents and friends included) advised me that everywhere is the same. That it doesn't matter where you study, or what you study, social hierarchy will always always exist.

Everyone wants to be popular. And be well known by many. But sometimes, its the method you use to achieve it that reflects your actual standing. Backstabbing, gossiping. Really, is it necessary?

Do you consider the friends in your social circle YOUR REAL FRIEND? SOMEONE YOU CAN DEPEND ON AND TRUST?

How can you when that circle started on the basis of lies and midnight gossips??? Everything is just an act. Blasphemy.

Wtf i'm making myself sound like a total social reject. Im not ok (in case you are wondering). Im quite comfy with my current friends.

But these are the general thoughts I AM VERY SURE EVERYONE WILL THINK ABOUT SOONER OR LATER.

But I digress.

I feel so lost here. How can friends do such distasteful things to each other and still be able to put on that wide smile?

[SOME] people here are abit weird. Their mindset. And maturity level. It sometimes shock me that these 'kids' are actually in their 20s.

Argh. Distasteful. Really distastful.

I just want to walk back down the taken path, and take the other road not taken.
(ie. I shouldve just gone to IMU)

*end of rant*

Those subs are WHACKED!

It was the most refreshing weekend I have had in months!

Home really does cure any tiredness, fatigue, sickness, mental disturbia. I really should make it a point to go home once every month, rather than 4 months once.

Eventhough it was just a mere 3 days break from all the chaos and mama dramas in sad little aimst, its enough to leave me rejuvinated and refreshed! (at least for the next 3 weeks)

A main contributing factor to my sudden burst of freshness-ness, could be because of the fact that I've been chomping on good FANTABULOUSLY HEALTHY AND YUMMY MEALS WHICH RESEMBLES NOTHING LIKE CURRY, CURRY, AND YES YOU GOT IT RIGHT, MORE CURRY.

Ice Lemon Tea in a jug ;)

Me and Willy decided to head on down to One Utama to catch 2 movies (i wanted to watch 3 T__T),

DWICAHAYA
and
PEMBUNUH NINJA
hahahaha. The subs are hillarious shit i tell you.

Before the whole obsence sight of Christine shouting "omghothothothothothothothothothothothothothothothothothothot!!", we went over to Garden to have a hearty lunch and to catch up on gossips.

The place is damn chio. Everything is so ala Tea garden brunch. Agree?

Meet Willy. Aspiring blogger and Lame jokes extraordinaire! Better stock up on your lame jokes, Mr.auntypullingskinonbus&kingkong joker.

I forgotten what is this called, i think it was Butter and Ginger Dory Fish. It would be delish, if only it was served hot. Mine was cold! I dont know whether it was intentional or not, but i just braved it down rather than risk looking like a noob by asking the waiter to reheat it.

---
After lunch, poor Willy had to accompany go shopping. I went mad crazy. Frickin SALES everywhere! SALES here SALES there SALES SALES EVERWHERE!

"But i stood tall, i could not be shaken.
My will is so strong, cause my wallet KOSONG!" tm
Hahahaha. Can i even tm my own poem?
---
Well, i almost went back empty handed. ALMOST. HAH!
I bought 3 pairs of shoes from Vincci. 3 pairs for only RM86.

Faster bow down to me and call me Shopping God.
Sorry willy. I don't have better pic of both of us together. Ok. I do have other pics and though I look nice in the other pics as well, quite unfortunate for you, I like this the most. Your head became collateral damage.
---
I shall end this post with a picture of:

A SOLE? (Willy found it interesting and FORCED ME to take a pic of it.)
